A reception in Mumbai will mark the closure of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma's extended wedding celebration. That is scheduled to happen tomorrow, but people are still talking about the celebrity couple's reception in New Delhi at the Taj Diplomatic Enclave on 21 December.

One man was particularly touched by the love and respect that he received at the reception. That man is none other than popular Punabi folk and film singer and actor Gurdas Maan.

Not many knew that Kohli and Sharma are great admirers of Maan, who sang their favourite 'Sajna Ve Sajna' track for them at the reception.

Touched by their hospiltality, Maan thanked the newlyweds on Twitter.

“I came to shower my love on them, but they showered more love on me. Mein dillon ardaas karda ke Rab hamesha enha dovan nu khush rakhey teh buriyan nazran toh bachakey rakhey – Virat and Anushka jeondey raho [From the botton of my heart I wish that the couple stay blessed and may god protect them from the evil eye],“ Maan wrote on Twitter.

The wedding reception was also graced by prime minister of India Narendra Modi.

The Mumbai reception is expected to be attended by bigwigs of Hindi cinema and cricket and even a few from the world of business.
