During the launch of the 'Swagpur Ka Chaudhary' song from Kaalakaandi (2018), actor Saif Ali Khan got nostalgic about some good and embarrassing songs he did back in the 1990s. Asked to recall one such embarrassing song, he had everyone in splits.

"There was some song which I did called the 'Rat Song'," he said. "I was playing a dance choreographer [and] actually dressed as the dance choreographer. A young guy dressed like this slightly fatter, older guy. I am teaching [an actress] various songs."

The actual lyrics and situation stunned everyone. "It was hot and I had this fake beard. And part of the song's lyrics were 'mera chooha tumko kaatega'. I think I had to remove it out of my trousers," Khan said.

The film Khan is referring to is Umesh Mehra's Yaar Gaddar (1994) co-starring Mithun Chakraborty and Somy Ali. Khan misremembered the lyrics of the 1990s song. The actual lyrics are 'main laya hoon chooha apna, kahan hai teri chuhi?'

"So, it's great. It wasn't my idea. Maybe there was a demand for it. Maybe one of your elders might know," Saif laughed.

Coming back to the upcoming film Kaalakaandi, he said the film is a reflection of Mumbai. "It's a really interesting story that reflects Mumbai people as they are. It speaks the language which is actually spoken in life. It has some really interesting drama and situations," he said.

Directed by Akshat Verma, the film is due to be released on 12 January 2018. Click here to predict the film's box-office performance.
