This time it's for real.

Well-known television anchor and film actress Dhivyadharshini (better known as DD) and her husband Srikanth Ravichandran have filed for divorce in a family court in Chennai.

Rumours doing the rounds in the industry suggest that Dhivyadharshini's decision to act in films after marriage was the cause of disagreement, which eventually resulted in the couple applying for divorce.

Dhivyadharshini, who is a popular TV anchor, has been doing some small roles in films. She was last seen in Dhanush's directorial debut Pa Paandi (2017) and is likely to be seen in several upcoming films as well.

The couple was married in grand fashion in 2014 with the blessings of both families after Dhivyadharshini announced that she would be marrying her childhood friend Srikanth Ravichandran.

But problems soon started to emerge. In fact, in January 2016 itself, there were reports that all was not well between the couple and they were living separately. The grapevine was abuzz with rumours that the couple would be filing for divorce shortly even then.

However, the actress's spokesperson had trashed the rumours, saying all was well between the couple and they were living happily together.

Now, almost two years later, the couple have filed for divorce.
