In 2013, Karan Johar, Anurag Kashyap, Dibakar Banerjee and Zoya Akhtar came together for a collection of short films called Bombay Talkies.

Now, the four have joined hands again for the second film in the series called Bombay Talkies 2.0. Needless to say, it will also have four short films by the four directors.

Karan Johar has announced the completion of all the films on Twitter, adding that his short stars Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani and Neha Dhupia. A source said Johar's was the last of the four films to be completed. The filmmaker shot it over a month in Mumbai.

Johar shared the first still from the film on his Twitter page with the comment: 'And that’s a wrap on love and lust ... series of short films produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Ashi Dua and will have four short films by Anurag Kashyap, Dibakar Banerjee, Zoya Akhtar and myself. My film stars Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani and Neha Dhupia.”

Bombay Talkies was released on 3 May 2013 along with Shootout At Wadala, commemorating 100 years of Indian cinema. While the first series was serious drama, Bombay Talkies 2.0 is said to fall in the comedy genre. “The series will be an out-and-out comedy, where Karan [Johar] will unleash his creativity to the brim," the source said.
