R Madhavan has been away from the Hindi screen for a while since Saala Khadoos (2016). But he hasn't shied away from his penchant for experimentation and took to Twitter to announce that his web series, Breathe, an Amazon original, will be released soon.
The actor shared a video of himself opening an Amazon package containing the title placard, Breathe.
Written and directed by Mayank Sharma, Breathe is reportedly a thriller based on a series of deaths of organ donors connected to Danny Mascarenhas, played by Madhavan. Amit Sadh plays the police officer put in charge of the case. Expected to be available on Amazon Prime Video, the series will also see Anuj Sachdeva and Sapna Pabbi playing pivotal roles.
This is Amazon's first attempt at a trilingual. Breathe will be available to viewers in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
Amazon has been planning a slew of original series directed by some of Hindi cinema's prominent names.The digital giant is speculated to have close to 18 films in the pipeline, including by the likes of Kabir Khan and Zoya Akhtar. Akhtar's series, titled Made In Heaven, features Shweta Tripathi and revolves around the struggles of a wedding planner.
