Fukrey Returns is proving to be one of the big hits of the year, especially if you look at the return on investment. Made at an estimated budget of Rs30 crore, Excel Entertainment’s film has bagged Rs15 crore in its second weekend, taking its overall total to Rs64.50 crore nett, as per BoxOfficeIndia.com.
Fukrey Returns is the the sequel to the 2013 comedy Fukrey, which also did well at the box office. Fukrey (2013) was made at an estiamted budget of Rs19 crore and went on to make Rs34.86 crore nett at the box office.
Fukrey Returns has had an impressive second weekend bagging an additional Rs15 crore nett. The Friday collections (15 December) stood at Rs3.25 crore nett, while the film picked Rs5 crore and Rs6.75 crore nett on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
Excel Entertainment will hope that the film does well during the week, as this Friday's release, Tiger Zinda Hai, starring Salman Khan, will take over most screens.
