Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, who has hinted at taking the political plunge some time back, will meet his fans between 26 and 31 December for a photo session, according to the actor's fans' association.

The actor's fan club has sought police protection for the event to be held at the Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam in Chennai. This will be his second meeting with fans this year.

Members of the fan club will get an opportunity to take a photograph with their idol.

In May, while addressing a large gathering of fans, Rajinikanth had said he would choose the path of politics if 'god is willing'. In November, Rajinikanth had told reporters that there was no hurry for him to enter politics.

"God decides what we have to do in life at every phase," the superstar said. "Right now, he wants me to be an actor and I'm fulfilling my responsibility. God willing, I will enter politics tomorrow. If I enter, I will be very truthful and will not entertain people who are in this to make money. I won't work with such people," he had said.
