Actress Rani Mukerji, who will be seen in Yash Raj Films' Hichki next year, has said that she would like to work with filmmaker husband Aditya Chopra, but doesn't think he would want the same.

"I would want to work with my husband but I don’t think he would want to work with me. Even if we do, I guess we will have a fight and we’ll walk out from the sets. There will be no shoot,” Mukerji said in an interview to Film Companion.

Mukerji is one of the most elusive actresses in Hindi cinema, who is not on social media. While she didn’t see the possibility of her husband directing her, Mukerji was all praise for Aditya who strongly believes in talent even if it fails. Aditya returned to direction after eight years with Befikre (2016). Mukerji mentioned about his disappointment when the film failed.

“Yes he was was disappointed, but leave aside that he is my husband, Adi is one of the most positive person I’ve met in my life. The good thing about him is that he is not perturbed by failure and he’s willing to give another chance to a person. Despite Tashan (2008) failing, Adi gave Dhoom 3 (2013) to Victor (referring to Vijay Krishna Acharya) and he backed Kunal Kohli who gave Hum Tum (2004) after Mujhe Dosti Karoge! (2002),” added Mukerji.

Film Companion editor Anupama Chopra asked Mukerji whether she has changed as an actor after becoming a mom. The Hichki actress had no hesitation in saying, "I just give very few shots now," underlining how motherhood is a priority.

Mukerji, who has always spoken her mind, revealed that she was not comfortable with actors being surrounded by too people around them.

"In the past, an actress had her mother on the sets. She was family, but at least she gave an honest opinion. Today, we have actors surrounded by so many people, the PR department, all of them only telling how great a person you are. You are briefed by everyone. Today’s stars are spoiled. I don’t think there’s room for them to complain.”

Hichki will be released on 23 February next year.
