My Birthday Song poster: Sanjay Suri has a lot on his mind in this psychological thriller 

Actor Samir Soni is set to make a debut as director with My Birthday Song. Starring Sanjay Suri, Nora Fatehi, and Miss India/Australia Zenia Starr, the film is set to be release on 19 January. 

A psychological thriller, the motion poster of the film captures the sense of intrigue and mental space that Suri's character occupies. As he emerges from the black screen, Suri's image is dominated by the faded picture of Fatehi's character in red. This seems to suggest the ominous presence of the actress in the film. 

In June this year, Soni had revealed to Cinestaan.com that he was working on his debut as a director. Soni said, "It (the release) will be pretty soon. Next three months maybe. The film is complete. The trailer is being cut currently. We will start the censor process in early July ."

However, the film is only scheduled for a release in January, suggesting a delay. The film is being produced by Kahwa Entertainment.
