Production house Excel Entertainment’s comedy drama Fukrey Returns has had an impressive run so far at the domestic box office, bagging around Rs37.75 crore nett in four days, as reported by BoxOfficeIndia.com. With practically no competition, the film bagged Rs5 crore nett on it first Monday.

Directed by Mrigdeep Singh Lamba and starring Pulkit Samrat, Richa Chadha, Manjot Singh, Varun Sharma and Pankaj Tripathi, Fukrey Returns is the sequel to the 2013 hit comedy Fukrey. As per trade sources, Fukrey Returns is made at an estimated budget of Rs30 crore, and has been released in about 1,000-1,200 screens.

The film will look to continue its good run over the week until Friday (15 December), which is when Hollywood film Star Wars: The Last Jedi will hit the theatres.
