One of Tamil cinema's fastest rising stars, Vijay Sethupathi, will soon be seen working in a film with ace director Mani Ratnam, if one is to go by rumours doing the rounds in the industry.
Sources close to the actor say that Vijay Sethupathi, who has been delivering hit after hit in the Tamil film industry, with Vikram Vedha (2017) and Kootathil Oruthan (2017), has agreed in principle to work in Mani Ratnam's film.
Ratnam, it is said, had asked for a year's call sheet from the actor and that Vijay Sethupathi has given him dates for 12 months!
The decision assumes significance as the actor has his hands full at the moment. At present, he is working on Karuppan, 96, Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solraen and Seethakathi. Although the unit is tightlipped about the mutli starrer project, its scale is expected to be massive.
Reportedly, actor Fahadh Faasil and Arvind Swami too have been roped in for the multi-lingual film, to be made in Tamil and Malayalam.
