Anushka Sharma's spooky romantic tale Phillauri (2017) had introduced us to the talent of Mehreen Pirzada. Phillauri didn't enjoy much success and earned just Rs25 crore nett at the box office. The film was expected to help Pirzada bag more films in the Hindi film industry, but the girl is said to have signed four projects from down South.
The big one is the film with Ravi Teja.
“Yes, I am working on four big projects. I have Raju The Great with Ravi Teja, which is his comeback film. Ravi is playing a blind guy and in the whole film, I play the centralized character. The story completely revolves around me. It's a completely commercial film with a commercially hit director,” Pirzada told Deccan Chronicle.
Elaborating on her other projects, she said, “I have Mahanubhavudu with Sharwanand. The teasers of both the films are out and people have really loved it. My third film is Jawaan with Sai Dharam Tej. He is a patriot in the film while I have a very glamourous role. Then I have a Tamil- Telugu bilingual debut film directed by Suseenthiran and here the character that I play is going to be the most entertaining one.”
It must be recalled that the girl from Punjab had made her film debut with the Telugu film Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha in 2016 before she was roped in by Sharma for Phillauri.
