Jab Harry Met Sejal 'Phurr' song: SRK romances to Diplo's beats

Shah Rukh Khan's collaboration with Diplo for a song has been in the news since last week. The song, 'Phurr', a part of the actor's upcoming Jab Harry Met Sejal, has finally been released, and showcases Diplo's DJ'ing skills to the hilt.

The wacky title 'Phurr' is only the beginning of this quirky song by Pritam. Embellished with Irshad Kamil's jamboree of Punjabi and Hindi lyrics, the song showcases the constantly moving journey of Shah Rukh Khan's Harry and Anushka Sharma's Sejal.

Diplo adds some hypnotic rhythms and a signature EDM beat to highlight the 'Phurr' in the song. Sung by Mohit Chauhan, the song has a combination of desi voices syncing to very upgraded foreign beats. The combination certainly fits in with the European mise-en-scene of Imtiaz Ali's film.

Shah Rukh Khan spent the last week in Los Angeles, editing and shooting the song with Diplo. The actor had posted a tweet of himself posing with the DJ in July.

Jab Harry Met Sejal is set to be released on Friday, 4 August.
