Akshay thanks overpaid trainer, underpaid cook in Vogue acceptance speech written by Twinkle

Seems like Akshay Kumar attends an award show when he knows he is winning one. Looking dapper in a black suit, the Rustom (2016) actor stepped out in style for the Vogue Beauty Awards 2017. Often these awards are a haven for the paparazzi, with celebrities flaunting their style quotient, but Kumar provided the cheer with his victory speech. The actor was chosen as the ‘Man Of the Decade’ and Kumar read out a speech written by his wife Twinkle Khanna. With the latter writing it, it was bound to be witty and humorous. 

Kumar was quoted as saying “My wife has given me a speech. So I will have to say this. Bear with me. They say that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder but I say beauty is whoever let you hold her. I would like to thank Vogue for this award. To my overpaid trainer and my underpaid cook, a big thank you for helping me maintain this beautiful Man of the Decade Body which I have.” 

Kumar will next be seen in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, to be released on 11 August.
