Riteish Deshmukh has always been enthusiastic about celebrating Ganeshotsav. Last year, he brought out a single ‘Thank God Bappa Aaplyasarkha Nasto’ during the festival. This year, he became a sculptor and made a clay idol of Ganpati. It was an eco-friendly idol and the theme was farmers. As he mentions in the video, he is the son of a farmer.

The video shows the actor diligently sculpting the Ganesha idol out of soft while clay. He carries out the entire activity with ease. He makes the different parts of Ganesha’s body and the seating area. Riteish shows finesse even while colouring the idol.

As per the theme, he has made Ganesha wear a turban, which is worn by farmers. The backside of the idol has an area where he has added pure sand. This again symbolises farmers. In the end, he places the idol next to the picture of his late father, Vilasrao Deshmukh.

The song ‘Thank God Bappa Aaplyasarkha Nasto’ is played in the background. The song was appreciated last year for boldly showing the mirror to those who have made Ganeshotsav a competition and a commercial event. It’s a rap song sung by Riteish himself.

Thanking his wife Genelia D'Souza Deshmukh, Ritesh wrote on Twitter: "I wanna thank Baiko for inspiring me to do this and also for shooting this video. God bless you all with happiness, prosperity and love."
