A huge uncertainty surrounds Sanjay Leela Bhansali's proposed biopic on the late poet Sahir Ludhianvi. From Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan to Irrfan Khan and Priyanka Chopra various names have linked with the project, but nothing has been confirmed yet. Chopra and Irrfan Khan were strongly linked to play Amrita Pritam and Sahir Ludhianvi till recently. However, a report on BoxOfficeIndia.co.in suggests that, after careful consideration, Chopra has decided against taking up the project.

A source close to the actress refused to confirm or deny anything. “I cannot tell you anything. The Sahir Ludhanvi film has been talked about for the last years. Priyanka and Bhansali have been talking during this period, but at the moment there’s is nothing to confirm,” said the source.

The Sahir Ludhianvi biopic has been wrapped up in troubles. Bhansali is currently filming the period drama, Padmavati, which has been pushed to next year. The Mumbai Mirror had reported that Chopra was keen to co-produce Gustakhiyan with Bhansali. The film is rumoured to be based on the unrequited love story between Ludhianvi and Amrita Pritam.

Chopra is currently holidaying in India, but will leave for the United States next week. The actress is set to begin shooting for season 3 of her television series, Quantico. The actress has also taken up couple of new Hollywood films, A Kid Like Jake and Isn’t It Romantic? Chopra is also collaborating with Madhuri Dixit on another television series based on the life of the actress. The series has already been taken up by ABC network, and will be produced by Chopra's Quantico producers, Mark Gordon and Nick Pepper.
