Subodh Bhave and Sonalee Kulkarni have been working in the Marathi film industry for more than a decade. Surprisingly, audiences never got a chance to see them together in a film. Now the wait is over and the artistes are set to star in Swapna Waghmare Joshi’s Tula Kalnnaar Nahi, co-produced by Swwapnil Joshi.
The first trailer of the film is out. Going through it, the film offers hope of being an entertaining romantic comedy.
Tula Kalnnaar Nahi is the story of Rahul (Bhave) and Anjali (Kulkarni). They fall in love and get married. Obviously, they are under the impression that life will be a bed of roses. However, that doesn’t turn out to be the case and there are constant quarrels. Finally, they decide to part ways. As fate would have it, they are forced to travel to Goa together.
There have been a number of Marathi films based on troubled marriages. The most recent example is Mala Kahich Problem Nahi. But, going by the trailer, there seems to be a difference in Tula Kalnnaar Nahi, for it looks like the subject is dealt with in a funny, entertaining way.
There is a certain freshness in the taunts exchanged between the husband and wife, which makes the film look like it is based on the modern present.
Tula Kalnnaar Nahi is set to be released on 8 September. You can watch the trailer below and predict the film's box-office performance here:
