Kareena, Sonam Kapoor kick off Veere Di Wedding with script-reading session

Kareena Kapoor Khan has been on a break after the birth of her son, Taimur. Eight months after Taimur's celebrated birth, she has returned to her career with the first script-reading session of Ekta and Rhea Kapoor's production Veere Di Wedding. The latest picture from the team shows an excited bunch of actresses looking forward to the project.

The picture has Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania sitting beside co-producer Rhea Kapoor. Sonam's sister Rhea is also reportedly styling the team of women for the film.

Kareena Kapoor Khan certainly looks the part, having lost the weight she had put on before Taimur's birth, but the plates of snacks in front of the actresses make one envy the reading session.

Ekta Kapoor's production company Balaji Motion Pictures posted a photograph on its Instagram account last week before Kareena Kapoor Khan's look test for the film.

In a recent interview with the tabloid Mumbai Mirror, Kapoor Khan had said, "I’m possessive about my friends and this film reflects that side of me. It’s the story of four girls who attend my wedding and all the dhamaal that it involves. It showcases women and their emotions. It’s the right time to do this kind of film."

The film, to be directed by Shashanka Ghosh, is set to start its schedule in Delhi before heading to Bangkok for some minor portions. The film is expected to be released in 2018.
