Secret Superstar song: 'Main Kaun Hoon' questions identity and belonging

'Main Kaun Hoon', the first song from Secret Superstar, starring Zaira Wasim and Aamir Khan, gives us the first glimpse of the main character, Insiya's voice and her hidden ambitions.

Zaira Wasim, who plays Insiya, begins the song, telling her unknown audience, that this is her first YouTube video. She then launches into singing the song 'Main Kaun Hoon', softly first and then imagining herself on a grand stage with lights and in front of the microphone. More importantly, she sees herself singing without any fear. On stage, she isn't wearing a burkha and doesn't have to worry about her identity.

The song has been composed by Amit Trivedi and sung by Meghna Mishra, whose voice matches Wasim quite well. 'Main Kaun Hoon' is written by Kausar Munir who brings out Insiya's inner angst on identity and belonging in the lyrics.

The Diwali release has been written and directed Advait Chandan and is produced by Khan, Kiran Rao, Zee Studios and Akash Chawla.
