Toilet: Ek Prem Katha crosses Rs100-crore mark, continues strong run

The film saw increased returns after a slight drop in collections on Saturday.

Akshay Kumar-starrer Toilet: Ek Prem Katha started its second week with a strong collection of Rs6.25 crore nett. This marks an increase from the slight drop in collections registered by the film on Saturday. With this, the overall collection of the film has touched Rs104 crore nett.

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha bags Rs94 crore nett in week one

While the release of Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari's Bareilly Ki Barfi and the supernatural thriller Annabelle Creation posted decent collections, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha picked up from where it left off in the first week. At this rate, the film is likely to supersede the collections of another Akshay Kumar starrer, Jolly LLB 2, this year.

The film's collections over the second weekend are as follows

Week one: Rs94 crore approx

Friday: Rs3.75 crore

Saturday: Rs6.25 crore

Total: Rs104 crore approx

While Bareilly Ki Barfi managed a decent collection of Rs3.75 crore on its second day, taking its total to Rs6 crore, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha remains the outright leader at the box office in its second week.
