This is yet another controversial move by the board headed by Pahlaj Nihalani.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has constantly been in the news for their strict orders and cuts. But their latest decision might well be one of the most controversial ones. The board has suggested as many as 48 cuts in Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer, Babumoshai Bandookbaaz.
Going by the promos of the film, it has some bold love-making scenes and explicit language. It seems this didn’t go down well with the CBFC committee viewing the film. As per reports, they have asked to reduce 'humping' scenes by 80%. When asked about the reason for these many cuts in the film, CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani told a news channel, “We are just doing our job.”
This has, obviously, annoyed the film's director Kushan Nandy. Speaking to a daily, he said, "First and foremost, we don’t have humping scenes. They are love-making scenes. I am shocked and appalled with what has happened. If you notice the cuts, there’s a sentence, ‘Yeh kaahe ka c******a hai.’ We use such sentences in our everyday life."
He is more appalled at the reason given for the cuts. "The excuse given to us is that children also sneak into cinema halls to watch adult films. How is that my problem? Penalise the cinema halls for this, not the producers. The way they have dealt with our film is insulting," he added.
Nihalani was unavailable for further comments when contacted by Cinestaan.com.
Nihalani had received severe flak on social media last month, when he refused to pass the word ‘intercourse’ in Imtiaz Ali’s Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer Jab Harry Met Sejal.
