Music director duo Sachin-Jigar have come up with a melodious tune for Simran's latest song 'Pinjra Tod Ke'. Sung ably by Sunidhi Chauhan, the breezy composition and easy on the lips lyrics by Priya Saraiya make this a hummable song that reaches its crescendo towards the end.
Its also an uplifting number with lines like 'Jannat ke saaye, jannat le aye hain bahon me ab zindagi. Kismat ki dori jo bandhi wo kholi, jeene chali main ab zindagi.' (The shadows of heaven have brought heaven into my arms now, life. I have untied the threads of destiny and am on my way to live now, life).
The video follows the life of Simran, played by Kangana Ranaut, who goes about living like a free bird. The montage includes the free-spirited Simran gambling, shopping, working, dining, hanging out with friends and finally getting into big time trouble. Ranaut is complete pleasure to watch as she displays the quirks of her character in her trademark style.
Earlier in the month, the makers had released the first song from the film - 'Lagdi Hai Thaai'
After Queen (2014) and Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015), Simran once again looks to explore the comic timing, emotional depth and quirks of Ranaut as an actor. Directed by Hansal Mehta, Simran will be released in theatres on 15 September.
