Rishi Rich's rich pop tunes make the Poster Boys song a party track that you have been waiting for.

A few days ago, the makers of Poster Boys had released the highly entertaining song 'Kudiyan Shehar Diyan'. Yesterday, they unveiled an even more exciting, and entertaining, number, 'Kendi Menoo'.

The song stands out for its highly entertaining score by Rishi Rich, the English singer of Indian descent. The pop tune is a pure delight and makes you want to leave everything aside and burn the dance floor. Every beat, every rhythm is just so intoxicating.

The music is so good that the lyrics are mostly redundant. Kumaar, though, has penned a simple and fun track. Desi pop tracks often ride on groovy music and trendy lyrics. 'Kendi Menoo' has both.

The music and the lyrics are backed by fine singing by Yash Narvekar and Sukriti Kakar. For a Maharashtrian, Narvekar doesn’t slip up on the Punjabi words. Kakar has a sensual voice that is made for such songs, She pulls off her part with consummate ease.

It is rapper Ikka, however, who provides the most joy with the gibberish lyrics — 'filach filach film se hain, kya kare hum bebas hain, bina baat ke chap gaye photo, hit ho gaye hain Poster Boys' — that are pulled off by Sunny Deol, Shreyas Talpade and Bobby Deol with deadpan expressions.

For all the efforts of the singers, and Rishi Rich, the song would have come a cropper if the visuals had not matched the peppy pop tune. The Deol brothers score with their expressions while the younger Talpade is at ease performing his freestyle moves.

Often underrated in Hindi cinema, the bevy of foreign side dancers are actually the ones who lift this track. Their booty shakes and ginger sprints holding placards are too adorable. Most of them may be oblivious to the lyrics, but these fair ladies are sure enjoying themselves to Rishi Rich’s peppy tunes.

Poster Boys is a Hindi remake of the Marathi film Poshter Boyz (2014), which was produced by Talpade, who makes his directorial debut with the Hindi version. Poster Boys is set to be released on 8 September.
