After a long wait, Sara Ali Khan has finally begun concrete preparations for her debut film Kedarnath.
Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, the film will also star Sushant Singh Rajput. Sara is the daughter of actress Amrita Singh and actor Saif Ali Khan.
On Thursday, 18 August, the director tweeted a picture of the two leads at a script reading session.

In a report by The Quint, Sushant Singh Rajput confirmed that the film will be set in the city of Kedarnath, and will be a romantic drama.
Rajput is reportedly playing a 'pithu', a tour guide who carries pilgrims on his back through the holy city, while Sara Ali Khan plays a rich tourist, who falls in love with him.
Speaking to Indian Express in June, producer Ekta Kapoor had said, "It’s Sara’s debut opposite Sushant. That makes it a fresh pair and adds an edge to the project. Kedarnath is an emotional and riveting tale that blends India’s beauty with a love story from the heartland."
The film is set for a June 2018 release. Director Kapoor has posted several pictures of himself and his crew shooting in the holy city of Kedarnath as well.
While Karan Johar was tipped to launch Sara in his Student of the Year 2, her mother, Amrita Singh, issued a denial in October last year saying that Sara was 'never offered' the film.
Earlier in the year, Rajput had denied news of him working with Sara in her debut film.
