Box office: Jab Harry Met Sejal earns appalling Rs58 crore nett in week one

After collecting Rs44 crore in its opening weekend, the film just fell apart over the week (Monday-Thursday) earning just Rs14 crore nett.

Shah Rukh Khan’s latest release Jab Harry Met Sejal has turned out to be a flop. The film could only manage to collect a meagre Rs58 crore nett in its first week, as reported by BoxOfficeIndia.com.

After earning Rs44 crore in its opening weekend, the film just fell apart over the week (Monday-Thursday) bagging just Rs14 crore nett.

The film, directed by Imtiaz Ali, has been panned, both by the critics and the audiences, alike. The first week collection of the film is way off than Khan’s last release Raees (2017) which earned Rs102 crore net in its first week.

Jab Harry Met Sejal has been made at an estimated budget of Rs119 crore.

While both Khan and director Ali have defended the film earlier this week, Ali also took to Facebook thanking the people who liked the film and also welcomed the criticism.

With Akshay Kumar’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha hitting the screens today, 11 August, Jab Harry Met Sejal is likely to struggle in its second week.
