The makers of Shubh Mangal Saavdhan have released a second track, 'Kanha', from the film starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar. The first, a pre-wedding song, 'Rocket Saiyyan', was released only a few days ago.
However, while the first was a fast, fun track, this one is slow and melodious. The song is more of a situational number. Kanha is another name for the god Krishna. Hence, the song symbolizes Ayushmann as Krishna. As Pednekar plays his love interest, we can assume she is Radha. More so as the song is about the girl urging her beau to be patient.
The song is filled with sweet moments between Khurrana and Pednekar, except on one occasion when the guy bashes up an eve-teaser who tries to get close to his girl in a bus. There is some awkwardness, too, but in a good way. The most interesting moment is the one where he tries to kiss her but his helmet comes in the way.
Shashaa Tirupati has sung the song in a sweet and melodious manner. It is a pleasure to the ears. Composer duo Tanishk-Vayu have intelligently used simple and minimal instruments.
Produced by Aanand L Rai and directed by R Prasanna, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is all set to be released on 1 September.
