Irrfan Khan and Golshifteh Farahani made their red carpet debut at the Locarno Film Festival on 9 August. Their film The Song Of Scorpions had a world premiere at the festival.
While Khan brought in his own sense of style in a casual striped jacket and white jeans, Farahani looked beautiful in her flowing skirt.
In the film, Nooran (Goshifteh) attracts the devotion of camel trader Aadam (Irrfan), who will do anything to prove his love for her.
The film has already got a positive buzz going for it, with the international film magazine, Screen Daily praising both actors' performances, saying, "A soulful Irrfan Khan makes Aadam such a charming, sensitive figure that it's hard to think ill of him even when we start to discover that he is not quite the saintly figure that we had first imagined."
This is a second collaboration between Irrfan Khan and director Anup Singh after the critically acclaimed, Qissa (2013).
It looks quite the productive year for Khan already. He has completed his next international project, Puzzle, and Honey Trehan's gangster drama opposite Deepika Padukone too has been lined up. He is also working on another untitled project under Ronnie Screwvala's banner, RSVP.
