It looks like the film fraternity cannot wait for Shree Narayan Singh's Toilet:Ek Prem Katha. The Akshay Kumar-Bhumi Pednekar starrer is set to be released on 11 August, and has got several major stars backing it. From Karan Johar to Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan, members of the film industry have put out videos requesting fans to watch the film on its release day.

Karan Johar teamed up with his protege, Alia Bhatt, on a cute skit built on Alia Bhatt's self-deprecating humour. He finds Bhatt locked in the toilet, and upon being questioned, she reasons "Tumne to kaha tha Toilet dekh aao." (You told me to go and watch Toilet?) It is then that they reveal the true intention of the video, requesting fans to go watch the film on 11 August.

Arjun Kapoor was another one of the younger generation actors who put out a lovely, sentimental proposal to the love of his life - Toilet. The funny video has Kapoor explaining how his day begins and ends with the toilet, and how the toilet has 'understood his pressures', 'given him clarity' and ideas.

Judwaa 2 actor Varun Dhawan put up a video of himself asking his trainer, in the middle of a exercise routine, if he could go to the toilet. Even at the repeated requests of the actor, the trainer coolly shuts him down by saying, "Toilet only releases on 11."

While they are good, Sidharth Malhotra topped them by putting out a 'Chutki' inspired video with the star of Toilet, Akshay Kumar, himself. Malhotra, who co-starred with Kumar in Brothers (2015), pretends to be a salesman in a shop, as Kumar as 'chutki' asks him the way to a toilet.

Apart from these, Farhan Akhtar, Anil Kapoor, and Hrithik Roshan tweeted their wishes for the film on Twitter.

While Kumar recently complained that the industry is yet to recognise him, this outpouring of wishes will offer him some comfort.
