Haseena Parker will finally hit the screens on 22 September.
The film's release was postponed twice earlier owing to other big films releasing on the same dates. However, it will now compete with Sanjay Dutt’s comeback film Bhoomi.
The film was first slated to be released with Ranbir Kapoor’s Jagga Jasoos on 14 July. It was postponed to 18 August, where it would have locked horns with the much anticipated Bareilly Ki Barfi. Besides, the film would also have felt the heat of the preceding week’s (11 August) release Toilet – Ek Prem Katha which is expected to perform with flying colours on the box office.
With Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Babumoshai Bandookbaaz, Sidharth Malhotra’s A Gentleman and Yash Raj Films’ Qaidi Band hitting the screens, the makers of Haseena Parker also decided to stay away from a 25 August release.
While there is no clear window on 22 September, Haseen Parkar will have just one competiting film, Bhoomi.
The Shraddha Kapoor starrer is based on the life of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim’s sister while Bhoomi is a fictional action tale based on a close bond between a father and his daughter.
