Actor Rajinikanth has announced that he is postponing the meeting that he was scheduled to have with his fans between April 12-16.
In a statement to his fans, the Superstar said, " It has been 10 years since I met you, spoke to you and took pictures with you all. You, my fans, too have been wanting to meet me. However that wasn't possible until now because of lack of time and opportunity."
"However, as an opportunity for meeting you all became available, I had decided to meet you. Accordingly, arrangements were made so that I could meet you. The idea was to meet around 2000 of you in a day between April 12 to 16 at the Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam in Chennai. I had planned to meet around 300 fans each from four or five districts in a day. I wanted to treat you to a feast and then take pictures with you. However, as clicking pictures individually with so many people could be a difficult process, I had decided to have pictures clicked with fans in groups of eight."
"But I have got to know that this decision of mine has caused you disappointment. I have received several requests from you, saying you want to have individual pictures clicked with me. Therefore, acceding to your requests, I am cancelling the current meeting that is scheduled to happen between April 12 to 16. Another set of days will be fixed for this meeting during which I will meet fans from just one or two districts in a day and will have pictures clicked with each one of you individually," the actor said.
Rajinikanth will be seen in Shankar's 2.0 alongside Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson. The film is scheduled to release in October this year.
