Poster Boys is directed by Shreyas Talpade, who makes his directorial debut. Talpade had produced the original film in Marathi, Poshter Boys (2014).
The three actors have been out of form for long and will pin their hopes on Poster Boys to usher a new wave in their careers. Sunny and Bobby Deol haven’t given a hit since Yamla Pagla Deewana (2011) while Talpade’s last successful film was Housefull 2 (2012).
The original Marathi film had Dilip Prabhavalkar, Hrishikesh Joshi and Aniket Vishvasrao in the lead. Jagan Deshmukh (Prabhavalkar), Sadanand Kulkarni (Joshi) and Arjun (Vishvasrao) find that their images have been morphed into a print advertisement for vasectomy, which leads to a comedy of errors.
