Meri Pyaari Bindu Chapter 5: When Ayushmann wanted to make a make-out video with Parineeti

Parineeti Chopra and Ayushmann Khurrana’s crazy antics continue in the fifth chapter of Meri Pyaari Bindu. The latest chapter has a lot of naughty fun and, of course, Hindi film music. 

Abhi (Khurrana) suggests he and Bindu (Chopra) make a mix tape of not only their favourite songs, but also the ones they can relate to. For those not familiar with mix tapes, these were casettes which had to be specially recorded and contained a collection of selected songs.

Likewise, Khurrana and Chopra list out a number of songs like, ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu,’ ‘Aaiye Meherbaan,’ ‘Mere Sapno Ki Rani Kab Aayegi Tu,’ etc. The one that Bindu feels should be labelled as their official making-out song is, ‘Lag Ja Gale.’ But Abhi goes a few steps ahead and suggests that they should rather make a making-out video. 

A sense of tragedy looms large over this chapter, even though nothing is suggested overtly. The audio casette getting stuck in the tape is symbolic of a derailment of the fun and laughter that we have seen in Chapters 1-4.

Directed by Akshay Roy and produced by Yash Raj Films, Meri Pyaari Bindu is set to be released on 12 May.
