Abhimanyu Roy (Ayushmann Khurrana) calls her his beloved Bindu, but the vivacious and outspoken Bindu (Parineeti Chopra) is not a favourite of his mother. Yash Raj Films unveiled Chapter 4 trailer of Meri Pyaari Bindu.
Titled Bindu v/s Maa, Chapter 4 shows why Mrs Roy (Aparajita Auddy) doesn’t approve of her son’s friendship with Bindu. This chapter has Bappi Lahiri’s popular disco track 'Auva Auva' playing in the background. Picturised on Mithun Chakraborty, the song is originally from Disco Dancer (1982) but was inspired by The Buggles’ 'Video Killed The Radio Star'.
Mrs Roy disdainfully calls Bindu 'do ring wali' (two ring girl). Two landline phone rings is a code for emergency devised by Bindu and Abhi. This particular 'emergency' sees Bindu asking Abhi to adopt a puppy.
The teasers have established a strong connect and recall value with the viewers. Abhi fails to convince his mother when he lies saying he's going to a friend's house to collect notes. Aparajita Auddy fits the role of MrsRoy, and is fun to watch.
Bindu knows her disdain for her, and fuels it by telling her she does voiceovers for shady Tamil films. She even tells her Abhi is a hit at a dance bar they frequent.
