Veteran actor Vinod Khanna was admitted to a hospital in Girgaum, Mumbai, on Friday night (31 March) after he started feeling uneasy. As per a statement issued by his son and actor Rahul Khanna it was known that he was suffering from dehydration.
In a press statement, Rahul has stated that his condition isn’t serious. “Dad was hospitalised on Friday for severe dehydration. The situation was quickly brought under control, he’s doing much better and the doctors are looking to discharge him soon,” he said.
He added that he is thankful to the hospital and the veteran actor’s fans for the good wishes. “Our family is most grateful for the extraordinary care he’s been receiving at the hospital and we are touched by all the good wishes pouring in,” he added.
A publication has quoted an official from the hospital confirming that there has been an improvement in Khanna’s health. They also quoted his close associate saying, “I am not allowed to reveal anything but Vinod ji is getting better and there is nothing serious. We are just wishing that he is out of the hospital soon.”
The actor was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale in 2015. He played the role of a gangster, and the father of Shah Rukh Khan and Varun Dhawan.
