Actor Deepak Tijori's wife Shivani, who allegedly threw him out of their home, has spoken up and lashed out against her husband. Last week, entertainment website Spotboye.com had reported that the actor had been allegedly thrown out of their house by Shivani.
Speaking to DNA newspaper, Shivani said, "Deepak Tijori, my husband of 22-plus years and the father of our young daughter has crossed all limits and has over-stepped the domains of decency, morality, sensitivity, sensibility and above all, the premises of every legality. I choose not to speak at all, simply because the matter between us is subjudice."
It was rumoured that Shivani had instructed the domestic help not to serve Tijori any food. Shivani has allegedly filed for maintenance under 125 CrPC (Code of Criminal Procedure) saying, "I am a deserted wife. I cannot maintain my expenses. My husband is liable to do the needful for me and my daughter." The actor had filed a case against his wife after he learnt that she allegedly hadn’t got a divorce from her first husband. He alleged that their marriage was null and void.
Further speaking to the newspaper, Shivani said, "As an honest and responsible litigant, I have nothing to hide or fear. Let the courts decide based on the facts. I am positive that truth shall prevail."
Meanwhile, Shivani’s sister actress Kunika, too, rubbished Tijori’s allegations.
"Obviously, someone is putting the story in the press so that the court gets prejudiced because they are in court for divorce and their alimony settlement has to be done. Can a person be married for 26 years and realise that their marriage is null and void? I don't know of my sister not being divorced and getting married to Deepak Tijori. That (Shivani's first husband) person also got married again, so that means his marriage is also null and void? It is all rubbish,” Kunika told IndiaToday.in.
Despite repeated attempts, Tijori has remained silent on the matter. Tijori was last spotted at the 30th annviersary celebrations of Vishesh Films.
