Deepika Padukone took time off from her public appearances to make a quiet visit to the holy city of Rishikesh. The actress visited the ashram of Swami Chidanand Saraswati of the Paramarth Niketan with her mother, Ujjala Padukone, and joined in the Ganga aarti during the evening on Monday. A devout believer, the actress often visits the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai before her film releases to seek blessings.
While her visit to the puja might have been a surprise, it caught the attention of a lot of devotees assembled. Immediately, the fans went berserk clicking pictures of the actress at the event. Dressed simply in white, with a shawl wrapped around her, the actress looked engrossed in the puja to pay any attention.

Swami Chidananda Saraswati also gifted the actress a rudraksha and a sapling as his blessings. With the actress's film, Padmavati facing serious trouble and violence, perhaps, spirituality seems to be the recourse for Deepika.
