Half Girlfriend poster: Arjun-Shraddha recreate magic of Chetan Bhagat's book

While the last poster of Mohit Suri's Half Girlfriend had Shraddha Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor romancing in the snow, the rain has taken over the latest poster. Released today, the poster is also a tribute to the original book cover of Chetan Bhagat's bestseller. 

The poster shows the parting of ways between the two leads, with the rain adding a melancholic touch to the whole image. For fans of the book, the poster is a reminder of the poignant cover of Bhagat's book, on which the film is based. Arjun and Shraddha play basketball players in the film, and have been intensively working at their game. The poster also announces the date for the release of the trailer as 10 April. 

Director Suri praised Shraddha's commitment to her role recently saying, "Shraddha would train for hours on end every day for over a month. While Arjun is a basketball pro, Shraddha was supposed to play a university girl, who is damn good at it. It was important for her to get the basics right. She is a quick learner and also receptive to feedback. The DU girls, who play basketball, would play a game or two while we weren’t shooting." 

Half Girlfriend also has Rhea Chakraborty, Vikrant Massey, Seema Biswas and Bhagat in pivotal roles. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on 19 May.
