Twenty-seven years is a long time and people change, both physically and mentally. However, for one to go completely unrecognisable is a shocker.  

Mahesh Bhatt's Vishesh Films completed 30 years in the industry and organised a private celebration for close friends and colleagues. Actors Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur were among those who graced the occasion, along with those Mahesh Bhatt has worked with in the past. One of them was none other the original Aashiqui (1990) actress Anu Aggarwal who was barely recognisable. 

Mahesh Bhatt’s actor-filmmaker daughter Pooja Bhatt posted some pictures from the evening. One such picture had Aashiqui 2 (2013) actress Kapoor posing with the original Aashiqui girl Aggarwal.

Pooja Bhatt used the titular track of the original Aashiqui to describe this ‘old-meet-new’ moment on her Instagram account. 

Those who’ve watched Aggarwal in Aashiqui will be shocked to see how the actress has changed in these 27 years.

Along with Rahul Roy, Aggarwal had made a smashing debut with Aashiqui. Unfortunately, both Roy and Aggarwal couldn’t repeat their success with their careers on a downward spiral thereafter. Roy wasn't present at the event.

Another actor from Aashiqui, Deepak Tijori also posed with the Aashiqui 2 lead actors. Tijori had played the character of Ballu in the original.

Vishesh Films is currently gearing up for its next release, Begum Jaan that stars Vidya Balan. The Bhatts have already announced their desire to make Aashiqui 3 that will star Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra.
