The trailer of Hindi Medium and its song ‘Suit Suit’ showed the film’s light-hearted nature. Its latest song ‘Ek Jindari,’ which is just out, shows the heartwarming, emotional side of the film. It’s a children’s song picturised on Dishita Sehgal, who plays the role of Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar’s daughter, and her group of school friends.
It looks like ‘Ek Jindari’ gives away an important turn in the film. The song seems to come at a time when Irrfan and Saba’s characters decide to manage a school themselves as their child isn’t getting admission anywhere else. The song shows the kids cleaning and renovating the school.
The song simultaneously also takes place in a school competition where the daughter of the lead pair and her friends have participated. Irrfan and Saba are seen playing determined parents.
Kumaar’s lyrics have fun elements as well as deeply meaningful lines. Taniskaa Sanghvi, the child singer, has shows off her skills, jumping from high notes to low ones. The drum sounds used by composers Sachin-Jigar give a foot-tapping feel to the song.
Directed by Saket Chaudhary, Hindi Medium is all set to release on 12 May.
