Even as the nation descended into the frenzy that is the release of SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, Tamil Nadu theatres seemed to wear a confused look. Fans arriving for the early morning shows of the film found several cancelled screenings.
Reports suggest that the shows were cancelled as the financial settlement between K Productions (distributors of the film in Tamil Nadu) and the producers had not been settled.

The producers had, apparently, not given clearance to the distributors to screen the film before 11 am. The diktat has now been exercised, ensuring that fans of the film in Tamil Nadu will have to wait till 11 am for the first show.
Incidentally, most theatres had sold out tickets for the film till 2 May. One of the most awaited, and expensive blockbusters in Indian cinema, SS Rajamouli's film has created a pan-India craze.
The film stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Sathyaraj, and Tamannaah Bhatia in key roles.
