Half Girlfriend song: Shraddha Kapoor makes Arjun Kapoor’s dream come true in ‘Thodi Der’

Arjun Kapoor confesses to Shraddha Kapoor that his dream is to see a beautiful girl sing a song for him. She makes his dream come true. The result is a romantic number in the form of ‘Thodi Der’ song from Half Girlfriend. 

The song is a soulful romantic number that starts off with an introduction and ups the tempo as it goes on. Shreya Ghoshal proves her versatile skills yet again. She scores well in the segments with a low pitch as well as matching the high pitch when the song transforms. 

Pakistani singer Farhan Saeed turns out to be a good support. The singer seems to have purposely moulded his voice to suit Arjun’s vulnerable and shy character. He has also provided the music for the track, which has an enjoyable riff of the guitar as well. 

The song revolves around Arjun's character, Madhav Jha, being mesmerized by Riya Somani’s (Shraddha Kapoor) gesture for him. Arjun looks a fit for his character as he looks on at Shraddha's character with a look of adoration. In a sequence, the two of them sneak out secretly for an outing at night. Even when sneaking out, his worrying over his 'half girlfriend's' safety offering her a helmet, and carrying her heels, implies the nature of his love. On a lighter note, Sachin Tendulkar would be pleased to see the two get the right gear on before going off on a ride. 

Directed by Mohit Suri, Half Girlfriend is all set to release on 19 May.
