SS Rajamouli's epic Baahubali series has transported Prabhas from the Telugu film industry to a pan-Indian name. Now, filmmakers are looking to cash in on his popularity. The actor has reportedly signed a trilingual film, Saaho, as his next project after Baahubali. The teaser for the film has already been shot, and will release alongside Baahubali 2 :The Conclusion in theatres on Friday.

The move appears to be a conscious attempt to cash in on the actor's rising popularity. The teaser for the film has already been shot, although the film is yet to go on floors. This is not a novel move in the south Indian film industry. Recently, Vikram-starrer Dhruva Natchathiram used a similar strategy to get the buzz for the film going.

Titled Saaho, the film is to be directed by young filmmaker, Sujeeth. Produced by UV creations, the film will also have music composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and Trio. In addition, the stunts for the film will be choreographed by international stuntman, Kenny Bates. Bates has choreographed stunts for blockbusters like Die Hard (1988), Pearl Harbor (2001) and Transformers (2007)

Incidentally, the title Saaho is also a reference to the war cry 'Saaho re Baahubali' used in Rajamouli's film. However, the new film is a more modern tech thriller, and will release simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.

Meanwhile the actor is preparing for the world premiere of the final film in the Baahubali series on Thursday. The premiere will be held in Mumbai, with the film scheduled for theatrical release on Friday, 28 April.
