T-Series head honcho Bhushan Kumar had promised at the trailer launch that Raabta will have good music. The makers have now unveiled the first track 'Ik Vari Aa' — a rhythmic romantic number where Saira (Kriti Sanon) and Shiv’s (Sushant Singh Rajput) love grows stronger even though they are set apart by distance.

Amitabh Bhattacharya, Pritam and Arijit Singh have together delivered some great compositions, most notably the soulful tracks of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil last year. The 'Ik Vaari Aa' is not at par with gems like 'Channa Mereya' and 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', but Amitabh Bhattacharya has penned a simple poem where the boy is craving to get one glimpse of his love. The words are no poetry, but in sync with the visuals and music.

From here on, Arijit Singh begins his magic. The song is a romantic plea, and there’s no better voice in Hindi cinema to sing such tracks than Singh. Singh has added just another feather in his cap with 'Ik Vaari Aa'. Pritam had composed a somewhat similar tune for the 'Lat Lag Gayee' track from Race 2 (2013).

At the trailer launch, Rajput and Sanon admitted to having a great chemistry and that is reflected in this song, even though they are set apart by distance. There’s both sadness and joy that can been seen in the eyes of Sanon and Rajput in the song. The exotic European locales only add to the colourful vibes.

'Ik Vaari Aa' is far from being a great track, but the music, singing and visuals combine to make the track worth tuning into. Watch the 'Ik Vaari Aa' track below. The film will be released on 9 June.
