Leaked pictures: Ranbir Kapoor's resemblance to Sanjay Dutt is uncanny

The latest pictures from Rajkumar Hirani's Sanjay Dutt biopic have raised Ranbir Kapoor's status as an actor. The internet was abuzz after pictures of the actor's new look in the film emerged. 

The latest pictures have Kapoor sporting an older, wisened look with a moustache and beard to go. The surprising part of it is the eerie similarity between Kapoor's look and Dutt's appearance when he was sent to jail in 2013. 

At a recent event, Kapoor revealed that they had completed 60% of the biopic. Considering that the actor is expected to sport three different looks in the biopic. The film itself covers the period from Dutt's rise to superstardom in the 1980s, his controversy and struggles with drug addiction during the 1990s, and ends with his jail term in 2016. 

The actor worked on a rigorous schedule with trainer, Kunal Gir, to undergo a complete physical transformaion. Speaking to Cinestaan.com, Gir revealed that Kapoor's transformation also required him to adopt the 'giant' personality that defined Sanjay Dutt. 

The physical transformation is even more astounding seeing how Kapoor is expected to begin work on Ayan Mukherjee's Dragon in August. In a recent interview, Kapoor's trainer Gir suggested that the actor will sport a leaner, 'gymnast like body' in Mukherjee's film.

It certainly is one heck of a transformation by Kapoor. If nothing, it only increases the expectation for Hirani's film.
