Arjun Rampal's mother is undergoing cancer treatment at Lisbon hospital

Cancer is an ugly disease, but it is also one that can be conquered, provided the patient is mentally strong and gets good medical care at the right time.

In a heartfelt video, actor Arjun Rampal has revealed that his mother is being treated for breast cancer at the Champali Maud Foundation research centre in Lisbon, Portugal.

“This is where my mother is being treated for breast cancer. She had three large tumours, went through four chemos [chemotherapy] which didn’t work. We found this amazing institute under the guidance of Professor Carlo Greco. They do SDRT [single-dose radiation treatment]. Blasted those tumours out. She is here for her check-up. Fingers crossed, everything is going to be absolutely fine,” Rampal says in the video.

Fans and friends soon began sending in get-well-soon wishes. Among them was actor Boman Irani, who tweeted:

Rampal has been keeping a low profile over the past few years. He will be seen next in his home production Daddy, based on the life of Mumbai gangster Arun Gawli.
