The first trailer of Ajit Sinha's Wah Taj, released on Wednesday evening, is already getting audiences curious about this little film.
Starring Shreyas Talpade and Manjari Phadnis in lead roles, the film revolves around the story of a farmer from Maharashtra who claims ownership of the land on which the Taj Mahal stands. Shreyas Talpade plays the farmer, Tukaram Raosaheb Marathe, while Phadnis plays his wife in the film.
The trailer is filled with some hilarious bits of comedy and dark satire. Talpade looks at home in the getup of a farmer, with his perfect dialect. The benefit of shooting at actual location shows, and adds authenticity to the trailer. The film is a dark satire and portrays the plight of farmers, and the corrupt system that surrounds them.
The film is presented by Jayantilal Gada and co produced by Pawan Sharma and Abhinav Sharma, under the banners of Pun Films Pvt Ltd and SpyderWave Films.
Wah Taj is set to release on 23 September.
