Watch: Harshvardhan Kapoor on how studying films in USA made him an actor

While it may be easy to assume that since Harshvardhan Kapoor comes from a film family and his father Anil Kapoor is a popular actor, he would have always wanted to be in front of the camera, but that was not really the case. Kapoor was more inclined towards screen-writing and was a writing major at Chapman University in Orange County, California. In fact, a lot of his cinema influences come from spending those crucial years there.  

The Mirzya actor considers those the best four years of his life. He told Cinestaan in an interview that he had gone to the University to find himself. “I was a screen-writing major. I would do screen-writing every semester, but we also had alternative classes. And whenever I had the chance I would do acting and acting for writing majors. It was to understand what an actor thinks when he picks up and reads your script. Acting and writing are most intertwined. Those classes made me realise how much I love acting,” said Kapoor.

His Mirzya co-star Saiyami Kher, on the other hand, spoke about how staying away from the limelight and being into sports prepared her for showbiz.
