There is great excitement for Neeraj Pandey's forthcoming film MS Dhoni – The Untold Story. This much can be gauged from the positive response to the film's trailer and the good advance booking run.

The film is also being looked forward to for the real match sequences that it showcases. A glimpse of this is seen towards the end of the trailer, which shows Mahendra Singh Dhoni's 2011 World Cup-winning moment. The film portrays Dhoni's life story till the World Cup victory, as lead actor Sushant Singh Rajput himself revealed to Cinestaan.com in the course of an interview.

It is obvious that using real match sequences, including the precious World Cup moments, would cost a lot of money. And what the producers paid to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is literally a bomb.

According to a source close to the production, the makers have shelled out Rs50,000 per second of footage! No, this is not a typing error. "The producers have paid Rs3 crore to the BCCI," said the source, who also revealed that the film features footage of matches other than the 2011 World Cup.

So, going by the cost per second, viewers can expect to see 10 minutes of actual match footage in the movie.

The Indian cricket board has always been very particular in matters of money and this deal proves it yet again.
