Watch: Ajay Devgn-Erika Kaar's airborne romance in ‘Darkhaast’

A day after the teaser, Ajay Devgn released the soft rock number 'Darkhaast' from Shivaay.

Composed by Mithoon, penned by Sayeed Quadri, crooned by Arijit Singh and Sunidhi Chauhan, the lyrics are Shivaay pleading (darkhaast) to his love Olga (Erika Kaar) to surrender herself.

While romance isn't among Devgn's many strengths, international actress Kaar is a treat to the eyes. The track brings to mind music styles of popular international bands like Coldplay and One Direction, with distorted guitar riffs and prominent drumming.

The suspended tent scene is striking and visually appealing. While the lyrics aren't imaginative, Arijit Singh and Sunidhi Chauhan try their best to elevate the track. 

Shivaay is set to release on Diwali, 28 October, clashing with Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
