Make some noise for the new Rock On 2 poster

Rock On!! fans can finally heave a sigh of relief. Aditya (Farhan Akhtar), Joseph (Arjun Rampal) and Kedar (Purab Kohli) will be back to rock the world with Rock On 2. The new addition to the Magik band is Shraddha Kapoor. 

Akhtar and the makers of Rock On 2 unveiled their first poster today. Akhtar is screaming with his trademark fedora on his head, while Rampal, Kohli and Kapoor, with serious looks, don't let on much. Another addition, Shashank Arora, also finds space on the poster. 

Another striking feature of the Rock On 2 poster, vis-a-vis the Rock On!! poster, is how defined and clear the characters look in the sequel. The poster of the first film had a long shot of the characters. 

Those familiar with Sam Raimi’s Spider Man 3 will vouch for the fact that the smokey, black designs in the background remind one of the black virus that engulfs Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) and, later, Eddie Brock. Various musical instruments and mikes find space as black drawings in the background. 

With the tagline 'Every generation finds its voice', Rock On 2 clearly targets new GenNext fans. It is unfortunate that original director Abhishek Kapoor is not part of the sequel, and has been replaced by Shujaat Saudagar.

Rock On 2 is slated to be released on 11 November.
